Contract Engineer
- Manage contract administration and compliance, including reviewing contract scope, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), payment terms, variation orders (VO), site instructions, claims, Extension of Time (EOT), and contractual correspondence.
- Evaluate work variations, project delays, and commercial risks to ensure the rights and obligations of both SCS and contractors are properly managed, documented, and protected throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with Construction, Planning, Quantity Surveying (QS), Procurement, Legal, consultants, and contractors to resolve variation orders, claims, payment matters, contract amendments, disputes, and contract close-out activities.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying (QS), Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Contract Engineer, Commercial Engineer, Bid Engineer, Quantity Surveyor (QS), or in a similar contract/commercial role within construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of construction contract administration, commercial management, variation orders (VO), claims, Extension of Time (EOT), contract amendments, payment processes, and dispute resolution.
- Proficient in reviewing and interpreting contracts, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), technical specifications, drawings, and commercial documents.
- Familiar with standard forms of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC or similar contract frameworks) is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word); experience with ERP or contract management systems is an advantage.
