1 Year Contract Facilities Engineer (yearly contract renewable)
Work location: Joo Koon
Work hours: 5 days work week (Mondays to Fridays)
Job Summary
The Building and Facility Technician is responsible for the day‑to‑day maintenance, repair, and upkeep of building facilities and systems to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient working environment. The role supports preventive maintenance programs, responds to facility issues, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and minor repairs of building structures, fixtures, and facilities
- Maintain electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and sanitary systems
- Carry out preventive maintenance according to scheduled plans
- Troubleshoot and respond to facility‑related issues and breakdowns
- Monitor facility equipment and report abnormal conditions
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers
- Support fire safety systems checks and general safety inspections
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports using maintenance systems
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards
- Support office layout changes, furniture installation, and equipment relocation as required
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Nitec in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in building or facility maintenance
- Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and safety procedures
