Contract Security Officer (Armed)
Location: Alexandria, VA
Position Type: Part-Time
Position Summary
Security personnel with the ability to effectively interact with the general public, DoD personnel and all ranks of military, civilians and visitors. This position is under the direct supervision of the site Captain for assigned shift of the security department and is responsible for the protection, safeguarding and security of assets, personnel, customers and all visitors.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform security patrols.
- Enforce access control procedures.
- Protect property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire and accidents.
- Investigate and write reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations.
- Provide any needed assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures.
- May perform other related duties as assigned by the site security Lieutenant/Captain and/or security Project Manager.
