Senior Java Engineer to join a high-profile systematic trading hedge fund. You will work on a large distributed Java-based system that ingests real-time data into a portfolio management platform, helping to build a new risk engine. You will bridge software engineering with financial domain know-how, focusing on latency, scale, and robustness. Responsibilities- Develop and support a large distributed Java system
- Automate real-time data flows into the portfolio management platform
- Contribute to the design and expansion of a data platform from scratch
- Work on building a new risk engine for systematic fund clients
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to improve performance and reliability
- 15+ years commercial development experience
- Strong low-level Java experience
- 2:1 Computer Science degree
- Strong Database skills
- AWS experience
- Code generation
- Java 8+
- Object oriented programming, threading, concurrency, distributed systems
- Experience with EC2, DevOps, Linux, CloudWatch
- Fast learner in financial domain
- Strong problem-solving with latency awareness
