Contract Senior Systems Analyst (C41139) - Kubernetes
Project Nature:
Assisting in the Vehicle Inspection Control and Scheduling System (VICSS) Redevelopment Project to support the project team along all the stages of SDLC, especially for the Project Management, Vendor Management, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), User Training, Technical Evaluation, Data Conversion, System Migration and Security Risk Assessment and Audit (SRAA);
Support the other production systems related to Transport Department Vehicle Examination Complex (TDVEC) management systems; and
Assisting BTSD IT project team in providing advice and support on contractor management process.
Duties:
Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the department;
To carry out user requirement definition, documentation, report generation, testing, and maintenance of application systems;
To perform application related documentation, testing, user training, data conversion, system migration, SRAA, maintenance and enhancement for Intranet/Internet, client/server systems, and web application systems;
To perform database design, performance tuning, system administration and maintenance;
To administrate, monitor and provide services for application software systems;
To evaluate and inspect/review hardware, software, and prepare technical proposals of IT equipment and services;
To provide application and system support services such as liaison with users and vendors, testing, monitoring, repairing, recovering application systems;
To design and prepare operation procedures, drill plans, contingency plans, technical reports, etc.;
To ensure project deliverables submitted by the contractor to be on time and meet quality standard;
To manage the team members including System Analyst and Analyst Programmer; and
To perform other IT services or tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Requirement:
A Bachelor's or above in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required;
At least 6 years or above relevant IT working experience in the project management, user and vendor management, business analysis, system analysis and design, system development, testing, configuration, customization, deployment and administration of application software systems;
Knowledge and solid experience on user and vendor management;
Knowledge/experience of security risk assessment and audit would definitely be an advantage;
Solid experience on project management, with Project Management Professional Certification would definitely be an advantage;
Have the following working experience and skill sets: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, MS SQL Server, SCCM/MECM, Kubernetes, Web Service and virtualisation software such as VMware;
Knowledge and experience in Cloud Computing is a plus;
Creative, analytical, self-initiative, responsible and well-organized; and
Good leadership, planning, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
Technical Skills:
At least 4 years' experience in IT Application Development and Management;
At least 3 years' experience in IT Security;
At least 2 years' experience in Disaster Recovery Planning;
4 years' experience in Infrastructure is an advantage;
4 years' experience in Microsoft Internet Information Services is an advantage;
4 years' experience in Microsoft SQL Server is an advantage;
4 years' experience in Networking is an advantage;
4 years' experience in System Implementation and Maintenance/Support is an advantage;
3 years' experience in Structured Query Language is an advantage;
3 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology is an advantage;
3 years' experience in Website Administration is an advantage;
3 years' experience in Linux System Administration is an advantage;
3 years' experience in Data Management is an advantage;
3 years' experience in PRINCE is an advantage;
3 years' experience in IT Planning is an advantage;
2 years' experience in Security Risk Assessment and Audit is an advantage;
2 years' experience in Information Security Management is an advantage;
1 year's experience in Endpoint Security Solutions is an advantage;
6 months' experience in Project Management Professional is an advantage.
Non-technical Skills:
At least 5 years' experience in project management;
At least 5 years' experience in vendor management;
At least 4 years' experience in people management;
At least 4 years' experience in quality management;
4 years' experience in IT service/outsourcing management is an advantage;
3 years' experience in conducting IT training/briefing is an advantage;
3 years' experience in software testing is an advantage;
3 years' experience in IT procurement is an advantage;
2 years' experience in tender preparation and administration is an advantage;
2 years' experience in work with the Government is an advantage;
2 years' experience in IT audit is an advantage.
Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
At least 6 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 6 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
