Contract Specialist

About the Position: This position is located within the US Army Corps of Engineers, Contracting Division where you will function as a Senior Contract Specialist managing all aspects of the functional area of contract preparation and management for the Temporary Emergency Power mission supporting FEMA in emergency response activities that range from no notice events such as wildfires, earthquakes, or tornados, or notice events such as a hurricane or severe winter storms.

Coordinate and assists with the preparation of acquisition plans, acquisition strategies, source selection plans, determinations and findings, and all solicitations documents.

Manage all aspects of the functional area of contract management, including contract formation, solicitation, negotiations, cost and price analysis, award, contract administration, termination and close-out.

Plan, develop, and establish long- and short-range procurement plans, strategies, and approaches for the overall acquisition program.

Serve as lead negotiator, planning the negotiation strategy, coordinating strategy with the negotiation team, and leading the negotiations conducted with contractors to reach a fair and reasonable position for all parties involved.
