Position Description JSI is looking for a highly motivated Contracts Manager, possessing strong personal initiative, excellent attention to detail and great communication skills to join our team. The Contracts Manager directs activities concerned with contracts for purchase or sale of equipment, materials, products, or services; examines performance requirements, delivery schedules, and estimates of costs of material, equipment, and production to ensure completeness and accuracy. In addition, the following duties may be applicable:
Reviews solicitations and prepares routine response for proposals, bids, and contract modifications.Prepares bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other exhibits that may be required.Requests or approves amendments to or extensions of contracts.Analyzes contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, corporate policies and business unit procedure.May compile data for preparing estimates.Communicates contract policy and practice to internal business teams.Ensures contract review, approval and execution in accordance with corporate and/or business unit guidelines.
Prepares and administers routine correspondence, negotiation memoranda, and contractdocumentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal.Prepares, organizes and maintains contract records and files documenting contractperformance and compliance.May conduct research to support contract audit and or facilitate business unit contractingtrends..Prepares and disseminates information regarding contract status, compliance, modifications,etc.Performs contract closeout activities.Develops and maintains contracts database.Advise managers on contractual commitments and obligation.Manages a variety of government/commercial contracts and subcontracts in accordance withcompany policies and procedures, applicable laws, and customer requirements.
Mandatory requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills which will help in designing clear contracts and communicating with the business partners.Sound knowledge of the legal issues involved in the contracts.Ability to pay attention to the details of the contract and identify flaws.Expert analytical skills along with an ability to interpret key elements and deliverables.Ability to tackle difficult problems and devise proper solutions for them.Strong PC skills with Microsoft Office Suite.Must hold and maintain a United States Secret security clearance.Significant knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), DCAA requirements, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).Minimum 5 years Federal Government contracting experience, preferably in the IC (State, Local and/or Commercial experience cannot be substituted for the Federal Government experience)
