Contracts Manager

Responsible for managing the quantity surveying, commercial, and contractual functions of the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) Project. The role covers contract administration, cost management, valuation, variations, claims, and commercial risk management for major railway infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage quantity surveying and commercial activities for the NSCR railway infrastructure works.
  • Administer construction contracts in accordance with contractual conditions and project requirements.
  • Review and evaluate contractor progress payments, quantities, valuations, variations, and change orders.
  • Assess and manage contractor claims, extensions of time, delay, disruption, and associated costs.
  • Prepare and review contractual notices, correspondence, claims submissions, and commercial reports.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, commitments, and potential commercial exposures.
  • Provide contractual and commercial advice to the Project Management Team and senior management.
  • Support negotiations with contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with engineering, planning, procurement, and project controls teams on cost and contractual matters.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of contracts, commercial documentation, measurements, valuations, and claims.
  • Identify potential contractual disputes and support claims avoidance, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
  • Ensure commercial activities are aligned with the project's contractual obligations, procedures, and applicable requirements.
  • Provide regular cost, contract, and commercial risk reporting to project management
