Contracts Technician
Summary section
To ensure high quality administrative support is provided to the Contracts Department from inception through to contract close-out.
Responsibilities:
- Provides technical assistance to the Contracts Department personnel.
- Supports the Contracts Administrators in the preparation of tender invitation documents.
- Supports the Contracts Administrators in the production of documentation for approvals etc.
- Distributes the contract documents as directed by the Contracts Administrator.
- Completes and ensures safe storage of contract audit files.
- Maintains contract correspondence files.
- Arranges for any original bonds, warranties, insurance certificates or policies to be copied and distributed as directed by the Contracts Administrator.
- Supports the Contracts Administrators in the production of bidder and contractor performance feedback reports.
- Quality assurance – responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system.
- Safety – responsible for personal safety and safe working practices, understand and follow OH&S procedures.
Mandatory requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma
- Minimum 5 years overall post-graduation experience.
- Minimum 2 years post-graduation experience in the oil and gas industry of which 3 years to have been in a similar role specifically within a contracts department.
