Contribution Accounting Specialist- HI
Summary: The Contribution Accounting Specialist owns the data integrity of employer billing. This person reconciles monthly contribution reports against collective bargaining agreements, tracks delinquent employers, and supports payroll compliance audits
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Contribution Reconciliation: Match monthly employer remittance reports and check/ACH payments against actual reported employee hours and wage classes.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate variances between submitted employer data and expected contributions, contacting employers to clear up underpayments or overpayments.
• Delinquency Management: Track late or missing employer contributions, flag non-compliance, and support collection or legal delinquency workflows.
• Audit Support: Prepare documentation, historical payroll files, and variance analyses for internal or external payroll compliance auditors.
• Eligibility Data Integrity: Ensure accurate hour banks and active participant work-hours are credited correctly so member health or pension eligibility is properly calculated.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain operations aligned with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and collective bargaining agreements
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
