Control System Engineer
Description
Has knowledge of project management and is familiar with project engineering and execution requirements.
Has worked earlier on major control system upgrade (DCS/ESD) with experience in testing and commissioning of instrumentation, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system, high and medium voltage electrical system, programmable logic controllers (PLC).
Has worked on implementing factory acceptance tests (FAT), site installation tests (SIT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and approving checks of various components of electrical, integrated process control and safety systems; DCS, ESD, fire alarm, and UPS systems.
Familiar with system tie-in, cutover, and recommissioning of new systems.
Specify work experience: 15 years of experience in projects and control system upgrade.
Preferred skills
- Candidate with Saudi Aramco projects experience such as DCS/ESD upgrades and large motor replacement is highly preferred.
- Ability to lead and manage pre-commissioning of control systems.
- Ability to review and improve scope of work of control system projects with deep understanding of control system requirements. Has enough experience to optimize scope of work and drive cost reduction.
- Fully familiar with site instrumentation and requirements for installation and connection to control systems.
- Expert in site execution and experience in leading site teams and contractors.
- Experience in project management knowledge areas.
- Fully familiar with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access) in addition to planning and communication skills.
Requirements
Master's or bachelor's degree in instrument and control system engineering.
Preferred certificate(s): Has knowledge of project management and is familiar with project engineering and execution requirements.
15 years of experience in projects and control system upgrade.
