Assignment Description
Control System Software Engineer will develop and deliver control system software for advanced subsea technologies, including subsea compression and boosting systems, swivel stacks, and other automated solutions.
Accountabilities
- Designing, implementing, and testing control system software for subsea systems
- Performing modifications and upgrades to delivered control systems through aftermarket activities
- Participating in component, functional, system, and interface testing
- Working closely with suppliers during testing activities at supplier locations
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams across all project phases
- Supporting implementation and handover of control system software for subsea products and systems
Qualifications
- Wants to work with industry-leading subsea technology and contribute to a sustainable energy future
- Enjoys technically challenging work in a collaborative engineering environment
- Holds a BSc or a MSc in Automation, Cybernetics, Computer Science/IT, or related engineering field
- Experience with PLC-based control systems is a strong advantage
- Has a minimum of 4-8 years of relevant industry experience
- Is fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Has a positive, practical, and solution-oriented mindset with high drive and strong delivery capacity
- Is able to work both independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams
Nice to have:
- Experience with Rockwell Automation automation products (e.g. Allen-Bradley PLCs or FactoryTalk View HMI software)
- Experience with Hyper-V virtualization or VMware solutions
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server
- Knowledge of HTML5 and modern visualization/presentation tools
- Use of AI tools to support development and improve workflows
- Understanding of software testing and quality assurance methods
- Experience and knowledge about IT / Networking for industrial computing as well as cyber security
