Controller, Investment Operations
You will own accounting and financial reporting for tokenized investment products. You will oversee portfolio and trade accounting, review NAV calculations, reconcile cash and positions, prepare fund financial statements and investor reports, maintain controls and policies, support audits, tax reporting, and regulatory filings, manage service providers, and scale accounting systems and workflows for growing trading complexity.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end accounting for investment products
- Review daily NAV calculations and validate fund administrator outputs
- Oversee P&L reporting, performance calculations, and reconciliations
- Manage accounting for fees, expenses, subscriptions, redemptions, and distributions
- Prepare and review financial statements for funds and share classes
- Establish and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
- Coordinate annual audits with external auditors
- Manage tax reporting and partner with external tax advisors
- Support regulatory filings and compliance requirements
- Prepare investor statements and reporting packages
- Manage relationships with fund administrators and accounting service providers
- Help implement and scale Geneva or similar fund accounting systems
- Improve accounting workflows and automation
- Partner with investment operations, legal, compliance, and finance teams
- Provide accounting input on new product development and operational design
Requirements
- 10+ years of fund accounting or investment accounting experience within asset management
- Experience in hedge funds, multi-strategy platforms, or high-volume or systematic trading environments
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund structures, and financial instruments
- Experience with NAV calculations, reconciliations, and investor reporting
- Experience coordinating audits and working with external auditors and tax advisors
- Ability to operate independently and make accounting judgments
- Experience with meaningful trade volume or operational complexity
- Attention to detail and documentation skills
