Description
Travelier Group (formerly Bookaway) is a travel-tech company transforming ground and sea transportation. Our network of digital platforms lets travelers instantly book intercity tickets for ferries, buses, and trains across local markets worldwide - markets that are often fragmented and complex to navigate.
We're looking for a Financial Controller to join our Finance team and help scale our financial infrastructure as we grow. You'll work at the intersection of consolidation, compliance, and process - with direct exposure to multinational operations and senior finance leadership. We're building a tech-forward finance function that leans on automation and AI to modernize how we close, report, and make decisions - and we want someone who's genuinely energized to help drive that shift.
- Own key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for corporate and subsidiaries
- Preparation of quarterly and annual US GAAP consolidated financial statements
- Lead the end-to-end annual audit process and take full ownership of consolidated financial results to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely reporting.
- Partner with subsidiary finance teams across our global entities
- Drive implementation of new finance processes to support company growth
- Maintain internal controls over financial transactions, reporting, and payments
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial laws and regulatory guidelines
- Contribute to cross-company finance policy and governance
- Champion the use of AI and automation to streamline close, reporting, and reconciliation workflows
- Evaluate and pilot new fintech/AI tools that improve accuracy, speed, and visibility across the finance function
Requirements
- 3 years' experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller in a multinational company
- Qualified CPA with Big 4 audit experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Experience in tech / high-growth startup environments
- Strong business partnering skills - able to work cross-functionally and across seniority levels
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-driven
- Excellent English, written and verbal
- Advanced Excel skills
- NetSuite and Google Suite experience – advantage
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve finance processes - strongly preferred
- Curious, tech-forward mindset - excited to experiment with new tools and rethink how finance work gets done
