Overview:
This is a Contract-to-Hire Controls Hardware Designer role in Detroit, MI, focused on hardware design and documentation using EPLAN and AutoCAD. Candidates with GM/Ford standard experience are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop controls hardware documentation and layouts
- Create and maintain electrical schematics using EPLAN and AutoCAD
- Support hardware design standards for automotive manufacturing environments
- Collaborate with engineering teams on control panel and hardware design deliverables
- Apply automotive industry standards (GM/Ford) where applicable
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of controls hardware design experience preferred
- EPLAN experience preferred
- AutoCAD experience highly desired
- Automotive experience (GM/Ford standards) a plus
- No degree required — experience-based role
