This position is no longer accepting applications(closed Aug 19, 2026).

Be Part Of A High-Performing Team

Join a global industrial technology organization advancing smarter, more connected manufacturing environments through automation, controls engineering, and Industry 4.0 initiatives. This team supports digital manufacturing programs that connect industrial equipment, PLCs, controllers, and factory systems with modern IIoT platforms. The environment is highly technical and hands-on, with close collaboration across controls, manufacturing, IT, and digital engineering teams.

What’s In Store For You

  • Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099)
  • Remote-based opportunity with approximately 30%–40% travel to support implementations and deployments.
  • One-year contract assignment with the potential for extension or conversion to a full-time role based on business needs and performance.
  • Opportunity to work across multiple industrial automation technologies, PLC platforms, IIoT systems, and manufacturing environments.
  • Standard working schedule is approximately 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with overtime required as project needs arise.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Integrate PLCs, machine controllers, CNC systems, robotics, tightening tools, and other industrial equipment with enterprise IIoT platforms.
  • Evaluate industrial controllers and select appropriate gateways, network translators, aggregators, extension cards, and communication methods for machine connectivity.
  • Configure and troubleshoot data communication across PLCs, machines, OPC servers, industrial networks, and IIoT platforms.
  • Develop and maintain controls and integration solutions using platforms such as Ignition, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff, Rexroth, Mazak, and Fanuc.
  • Document current-state and future-state controls architectures, system designs, implementation plans, and integration standards.
  • Support Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing initiatives from planning through deployment while ensuring project milestones are achieved.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on communication, networking, and machine-connectivity issues in partnership with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Support integrations involving robots, cobots, autonomous mobile robots, AGVs, and industrial tooling systems.

Do You Bring Proven Success in Industrial Controls and IIoT Integration?

  • 2–5 years of relevant industrial automation, controls, or IIoT experience, with strong preference for recent hands-on PLC work.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on Ignition experience.
  • Experience programming, configuring, or troubleshooting multiple PLC platforms, particularly Allen-Bradley/Rockwell and Siemens; exposure to Beckhoff or Rexroth is valuable.
  • Programming experience with C++ and/or Python.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols including OPC UA/DA, MQTT, Ethernet/IP, REST APIs, Profinet, and Profibus.
  • Experience configuring or troubleshooting OPC servers such as Kepware.
  • Understanding of industrial networking, including IP configuration, routing, VLANs, fieldbus technologies, and network security fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with ISA-95, controls architecture, automation-stack integration, and Industry 4.0 concepts.
  • Experience integrating industrial machinery, CNC controllers, robotics, tooling systems, or similar manufacturing equipment with connected platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30%–40%.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime when required.
