The Controls Project Coordinator provides cross-functional support to the Controls Project Management (PRMC) team, Electrical Installation team, and the department manager. This hybrid role supports project material tracking, system administration (Jira, LMS), small retrofit task coordination, documentation maintenance, and internal initiatives. The position also provides backup for PRMC team members during PTO and contributes to continuity across department operations. This is a new role with potential to expand based on team needs and candidate capability, with a defined path toward Junior Project Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Track project materials from PO through delivery, receipt, and jobsite staging
• Coordinate with Procurement, vendors, and logistics to resolve delivery issues
• Maintain and update project material readiness logs
• Assist Electrical Installation team with material visibility and issue escalation
• Provide weekly material tracking updates for PRMC and Installation teams
• Administer Jira boards for the PRMC and Electrical Installation teams
• Follow up on overdue tasks and distribute weekly Jira reports
• Monitor LMS (site reporting system) for overdue items; send task reminders
• Support data entry or task updates when needed
• Coordinate internal initiatives led by the department manager (onboarding tools, process updates, team documentation)
• Track timelines, task ownership, and deliverables
• Participate in department projects that cross into other functions (engineering, procurement, training)
• Monitor shared inboxes, Jira boards, and trackers during PRMC team member PTO
• Escalate time-sensitive items and maintain continuity in project documentation and material tracking
• Log key updates to ensure clean handoffs before and after PTO
• Maintain up-to-date install documentation packages and redlines
• Assist with short-term (2–3 week) look-ahead schedules when requested
• Support coordination of site access and required safety documentation
• Participate in project status meetings and internal coordination calls as needed
• Support budget tracking, cost logging, and documentation for vendor-related items
Education: Associates degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Construction Management (or similar), or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, scheduling, or material tracking in industrial, automation, or construction environments
Travel: Up to 25% of travel as required.

• Ability to move around office environment and reach with hands and arms regularly.
• Ability to communicate with others verbally and in writing, on a frequent basis.
• Ability to focus and complete tasks throughout workday in office environment.

Other Requirements
