Controls Support Engineer (2-year contract)
Job Responsibilities:
- Investigate and analyze attraction control system incidents, including downtime, reliability issues, safety incidents, and show quality concerns, and provide effective technical solutions to restore systems and improve performance.
- Deliver control systems engineering support for attraction projects, including system enhancements, upgrades, replacements, modifications, testing, and commissioning.
- Perform hands‑on work involving industrial automation and field devices.
- Plan and conduct Operational Tests and Electrical Tests as part of the Annual Ride Safety Examination.
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including maintenance manuals, maintenance requirements, testing procedures, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Facility Services, Park Operations, and other Lines of Business.
- Coordinate with external parties such as contractors, suppliers, surveyors, and regulatory bodies as required.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or science discipline, such as Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Computer, or Communications Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years’ post‑qualification experience, including at least 1 year in industrial automation or control systems, such as system integration, automated manufacturing, instrumentation, industrial controls, or theater/stage automation systems. Candidates with less experience may also be considered for a more junior position.
- Solid knowledge of industrial automation and Operational Technology systems, including PLC and safety control platforms.
- Familiarity with show or attraction control systems, such as the TAIT Navigator control system, is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and logical problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven approach to fault investigation.
- Ability to work independently with sound engineering judgement in safety‑critical and live operating environments.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese
