Cook Job Description

A cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food in a restaurant or other food service establishment. The cook will work with the kitchen team to ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards and that all orders are completed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
• Ensure that all food is cooked to the correct temperature and is safe for consumption
• Work with the kitchen team to ensure that all orders are completed in a timely manner
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
• Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role
• Knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
