What you’ll be serving up…
As a Cook, you'll be an important part of our team at Stoke Gifford Retirement Village, preparing fresh, home-style food and helping to create a welcoming dining experience for residents and guests. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of your work, contribute your own ideas and specials, and play a key role in delivering high-quality food and service.

Prepare and serve food to the highest standard
Ensure the kitchen and service areas are always clean, well-presented, and well-stocked
Keep up to date with menus and daily food offerings
Support the delivery of popular themed days, including roast lunches and fish and chip Fridays
Contribute ideas for daily specials and menu enhancements
Offer a warm and friendly service to residents and guests
Ensure COSHH, Food Safety, and Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
Work closely with the wider kitchen team to deliver an excellent dining experience

Previous catering or chef experience
A passion for preparing high-quality, home-style food
Genuine interest in customer service excellence
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Reliable, organised, and able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen
Pride in maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and presentation
Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a friendly team environment

What's in it for you?

Shifts are typically 8am to 4pm
Very occasional evening cover, finishing no later than 7pm
One weekend in four off
