Oaks Melbourne St Kilda Road Hotel are looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team on a part-time basis.

This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen, preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to a consistently high standard, and helping deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare ingredients and assist with the cooking and plating of meals.
  • Cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards and guest expectations.
  • Ensure excellent presentation of meals before service.
  • Maintain proper food storage, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
  • Support team members to ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.

Shift Details (subject to change):

  • Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
  • Shifts scheduled across breakfast and dinner periods
  • Immediate start available

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday - Friday: $27.08 per hour

Saturday: $33.85 per hour

Sunday: $40.62 per hour

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role.
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for cooking.
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
