Cook - Part Time

We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our team at Bexley Village on a part-time basis.if you enjoy preparing great food, working as part of a supportive team and making a positive difference in the lives of older people, we’d love to hear from you!
Please note: The available shifts for this part-time position are Thursday and Friday mornings.
What you’ll do
As a Cook, you’ll play an important role in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents, their families and visitors. Working closely with our kitchen and care teams, you’ll help create enjoyable dining experiences while ensuring food is prepared safely, efficiently and with care.
Your day-to-day will include:

Preparing and serving a variety of nutritious, high-quality meals.
Following food safety, hygiene and safe food-handling practices.
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to support smooth daily operations.
Contributing to a positive kitchen culture and delivering friendly, customer-focused service.

What you’ll bring
Ideally, you’ll bring:

Experience working as a cook in a commercial kitchen, with aged care or healthcare experience highly regarded.
Knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP and workplace health and safety principles.
Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills.
A Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in aged care or a similar environment.
Availability to work Thursday and Friday morning shifts.
