Coordenador de Merchandising
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Coordenador de Merchandising based in Brazil.
This role offers the opportunity to lead field merchandising operations and directly influence execution, availability, and brand visibility across key retail channels. You will coordinate supervisors and promoters, developing high-performing teams and ensuring consistent execution at points of sale. Your work will be closely connected to sales performance, product availability, shelf share, promotional compliance, and the achievement of Perfect Store KPIs. You will use field insights and performance data to identify opportunities and translate them into practical action plans. The position requires strong collaboration with commercial teams, customers, agencies, and operations to deliver an excellent retail experience. You will play an important role in reducing stockouts, strengthening in-store presence, and supporting sustainable business growth. Accountabilities:
- Coordinate teams of supervisors and field promoters, ensuring high-quality execution and consistent performance across assigned retail operations.
- Lead and develop high-performing teams, including the indirect management of outsourced and third-party personnel.
- Ensure excellence in point-of-sale execution and achievement of Perfect Store and other merchandising performance indicators.
- Monitor product availability, shelf share, secondary displays, promotional compliance, and other key execution metrics.
- Identify opportunities to reduce stockouts and improve product availability and visibility across retail locations.
- Implement merchandising and trade marketing strategies in the field, ensuring alignment with commercial priorities and brand objectives.
- Analyze field execution data and transform insights into clear action plans designed to improve sales and operational results.
- Partner closely with commercial, operations, customer, and agency teams to resolve execution challenges and drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor field performance and provide relevant updates, analysis, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Support a consistent and high-quality consumer journey by ensuring strong execution across the retail environment.
- Build effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders across different functions and levels.
- Promote best practices in merchandising execution, team management, measurement, and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in merchandising, with previous experience in a coordination or leadership position.
- Strong experience managing field operations, store execution, and teams of promoters.
- Proven ability to manage outsourced or third-party teams indirectly and drive performance through clear objectives and follow-up.
- Strong understanding of retail execution, merchandising strategies, product availability, shelf share, promotional compliance, and Perfect Store indicators.
- Experience working with performance metrics and translating field data into actionable business plans.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to work effectively with operational reports and performance data.
- Familiarity with the Involves platform is a strong advantage.
- Experience in FMCG or other consumer goods environments is desirable.
- Previous experience in merchandising, trade marketing, or promotional agencies is a plus.
- Experience working with major Brazilian cash-and-carry retailers such as Atacadão and Assaí, as well as regional retail customers, is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across commercial, operational, customer, and field teams.
- Strong leadership, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic field environment.
- Candidates should be based in or able to work from Brasília, Cuiabá, Goiânia, or Palmas.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Brazil; relocation support is not provided for this position.
