Coordinator Cum Drafter

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed carpentry shop drawings, fabrication drawings and installation drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Develop drawings for built-in furniture, wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, feature walls, doors, counters and other custom carpentry works.
  • Review architectural and design drawings and translate design intent into practical carpentry details.
  • Take site measurements and verify site conditions before finalising drawings.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager, site team, designers, consultants and clients on drawing requirements and technical details.
  • Prepare and incorporate revisions based on consultant/client comments and site requirements.
  • Ensure drawings are accurate in terms of dimensions, materials, finishes, hardware and construction details.
  • Prepare cutting lists, material specifications and other relevant production information where required.
  • Coordinate with the carpentry factory/production team to ensure drawings are suitable for fabrication.
  • Liaise with site supervisors and installers to resolve discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.
  • Monitor drawing submission, approval and revision status.
  • Maintain proper records of approved drawings and ensure the latest revisions are issued to the relevant parties.
  • Assist in coordinating delivery, installation and rectification of carpentry works where required.
  • Support the Project Manager with project coordination and documentation.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Certificate in Interior Design, Architectural Drafting, Building, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in interior carpentry, joinery, furniture or fit-out projects.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and able to produce detailed carpentry shop drawings.
  • Good knowledge of carpentry construction, materials, hardware and fabrication methods.
  • Able to read and interpret architectural, interior design and construction drawings.
  • Good understanding of site measurements and installation requirements.
  • Good coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work within project timelines.
  • Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with project, production and site teams.
