Position Summary:
Assist the Occupational Medicine/Employee Health Section in maintaining consistent and accurate services to all clients, patients, and examinees.
Education, License & Cert:
High School education, Associates Degree or higher preferred. Should possess excellent typing, telephone skills, and personal computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Experience:
One to two years experience preferred in related field.
Essential Functions:
- Work the Occupational Health billing work queue and ensure that all charges for services rendered have been entered and are accurate.
- Monitor errors in billing and report inconsistencies to the individual offices. Work with the office to improve Occupational Health billing processes to produce accurate charges without needed edits.
- Monitor and bill for all on‐site services, including providers, nurses, and supplies.
- Perform the duties of the Medical Review Officer Designee, including reporting negative drug test results, notifying the appropriate physician of positive results and ensuring clients have accurate, timely results.
- Research and submit no‐show billing for all Occupational Health services throughout Guthrie, Occupational Health and Regional Offices.
- Audit accounts to ensure accurate billing to clients. Monitor problematic accounts for accuracy before billing statements are sent.
- Research charges on the independent account and mail billing letters as appropriate. Follow‐up to ensure payment has been received.
- Research billing questions from clients, examinees, patients, and the business office. Correct billing errors when necessary.
- Work with the business office and clients to ensure the account balances are kept current. Determine when accounts need to be closed and sent to collections.
- Cover the duties of the visit coordinators, PSS, administrative assistant, and nurses in Occupational Health as needed.
- Obtain and maintain drug and alcohol testing certifications.
- Keep updated on regulations including OSHA, DOT, NIOSH, CAOHC, etc.
- Educate clients regarding Occupational Health services and federal regulatory requirements as needed.
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure clients have the appropriate services and understand the billing and scheduling process.
- Work closely with the management team to improve all billing, scheduling, and reporting processes in all offices that provide Occupational Health services.
