Ko wai koe / About you:

This role sits within the Manaaki Ora – Te Whare Rongomau Family Harm team and works closely with the Family Harm table, Rotorua Police Prevention Manager, and other relevant community networks and services.

The position provides high-level support across Manaaki Ora services and operates primarily within the Family Harm and Violence Prevention network.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide a high-level response to clients and whānau experiencing family harm or sexual harm.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the Te Ao Rerekura Framework and apply it in practice.
  • Work closely with the Family Violence and Sexual Violence Community Practice Manager.
  • Support and monitor safety planning and risk management.
  • Demonstrate Manaaki Ora values and comply with all organisational policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular hui with New Zealand Police to support the ongoing development of the position.

Ngā pūkenga ka whai koe / Skills you will have:

  • A qualified social worker, or someone with extensive experience in this field.
  • Proven experience in family violence prevention and sexual violence prevention.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • A full, current New Zealand driver licence.
  • Completion of Enhanced-level training within the E2E (Entry to Expert) framework.
