Copywriter (Email Focus) - Contract

About the Opportunity:

Our client is a fast-growing health and wellness brand that sells science-backed products to a large, loyal online community. They’re adding a freelance copywriter to their content team to help keep up with a busy email calendar.

What You’ll Do:

• Write 10 to 15 emails a week, including retention flows and new product and service launches
• Take copy through 4 to 6 rounds of creative and legal review, and turn edits around quickly
• Work with the CRM team to get emails built and sent
• Manage incoming assignments independently and work asynchronously with the content and creative teams

What’s Required:

• 3+ years of copywriting for health, nutrition, or food brands
• A portfolio that includes email work
• Around 4 hours a day of availability between 10am and 7pm ET
• You take feedback without ego, stay steady under pressure, and pick up a new brand voice fast
• You’re comfortable using AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude day to day

What’s Preferred:

• Experience writing compliant copy in a regulated category, including conservative health claims and disclaimers
• Prior experience at a telehealth, supplement, or direct-to-consumer wellness brand (e.g., Hims & Hers, Ritual)
• Senior enough to work from a brief with minimal direction

What’s a Bonus:

• Experience writing packaging copy, including knowledge of how packaging compliance requirements differ from web
• Working knowledge of Monday.com
• Working knowledge of Figma

Logistics:

• Pay: $45 to $60/hr
• Location: Remote; must be based in the US
• Contract: 6 months to start, with potential to convert to full-time in 2027
• Hours: Approximately 25 per week, with flexibility
• Start date: ASAP
