Core Laboratory Supervisor - LABORATORY

DEFINITION:

Responsible for the daily operational activities within the core laboratory including staff performing testing and reporting test results, maintaining policies and procedures, quality control, PI, and other practices relating to the daily operation of this area within the laboratory

EDUCATION:

Bachelor of Science degree in a science related field and completion of an approved Medical Technology training program or equivalent clinical training.

REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):

Certified/Registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, must meet minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988.

One (1) year experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must meet the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988 as a general supervisor.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

One to five experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in the appropriate technical discipline(s).

Supervisory experience desirable.
