Corporate Access Manager, Sales

Position Description

The primary responsibilities of this position is to work closely with both Research, Sales, and Regional Corporate Access teams to deliver a differentiated corporate access offering for both corporate and institutional clients.

Reporting locally to the Head of Sales.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Corporate Relationship Ownership & Origination

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of corporates (C-level / IR teams), understanding their capital markets agenda, and investor targeting priorities.

  • Originate new corporate relationships (prospecting, outreach, pitching) to bring on new corporates onto the firm’s access platform.

  • Act as the liaison for investor meetings between corporate management and institutional investors.

Sales, Research, and Conference Marketing

  • Design and coordinate non-deal roadshows, reverse roadshows, site visits, thematic trips, sector tours, investor days, and conference access.

  • To assist with the event setups/management – venue origination and set-up, vendor engagement, cost management.

Database management

  • To maintain an up-to-date corporate database as well as events schedule, including maintaining a Master List of all CLSA Malaysia events and regional events involving Malaysia clients and corporates.

Client & Corporate Requests

  • To assist with all client meeting requests. This applies to 1x1 with corporates, specialist speakers, government bodies etc.

  • To assist with client RFIs for all corporate access related requests.

Others

  • Travel management - coordinating domestic and international travel for front office staff, including flight, hotel and car rental reservations.

  • Travel – the successful candidate would also be required to travel for CLSA conferences across APAC when required

  • To be the key liaison for all corporates and speakers needs at CLSA engagements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in an Accounting / Commerce / Finance / Marketing discipline

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience working within a similar role at another Investment Bank or Investment Manager preferred, and/or relevant experience as an Investor Relations Co-ordinator, Research Assistant, Sales Assistant, or Corporate Marketing will be highly regarded

  • Good command of written and spoken English / Bahasa. Mandarin would be an advantage but not necessary.

  • Excellent interpersonal sensitivity. Excellent communication skills to both internal and external clients

  • Confident in dealing with clients and senior management

  • High attention to detail is essential

  • Have strong organizational skills, self-motivated and proactive

  • Ability to work under pressure and sometime outside of regular work hours in busy periods

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
