Corporate Compliance Officer

Summary:

Rural Health Medical Program, Inc. (RHMPI) is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Corporate Compliance Officer to lead the organization’s compliance and regulatory oversight program across its Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) network serving Alabama’s Black Belt region.

This leadership role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective corporate compliance program that promotes ethical conduct, regulatory adherence, operational accountability, and organizational integrity. The Corporate Compliance Officer works collaboratively with executive leadership, clinical teams, department directors, and the Board of Directors to ensure compliance with HRSA, HIPAA, OSHA, FTCA, OIG, federal and state regulations, and organizational policies.

Key responsibilities include conducting compliance risk assessments, overseeing internal audits and investigations, monitoring corrective action plans, coordinating compliance training initiatives, supporting Operational Site Visit (OSV) readiness, and ensuring timely reporting and resolution of compliance concerns. The position also serves as a resource for regulatory guidance, policy development, and continuous process improvement.

Education: Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree desired.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare organization. Previous experience in Healthcare Management or Business Administration, Public Health & Administration, IT related background.
