Corporate Data Network Engineer

Maintains and secures corporate LAN, WAN, and MAN networks, ensuring uptime and performance through monitoring, routing, switching, and firewall administration.
The Corporate Data Network Engineer is responsible for the administration, monitoring, maintenance, and security of the corporate network infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, optimal throughput, and business continuity across Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN) through proactive management, capacity planning, and robust security practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.(Insert Number, e.g., 3-5+) years of proven experience in corporate network engineering, administration, and support.
- Hands-on experience managing LAN, WAN, and MAN environments, including routing, switching, and internet access infrastructure.
- Experience with enterprise network management and monitoring systems.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, architectures, and high-availability designs.
- Strong analytical skills for capacity planning, traffic charting, and utilization monitoring.
- Proactive problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities for both preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Solid knowledge of network security principles and firewall administration.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
- CompTIA Network+ or Security+.
- Vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, or Aruba).
