Corporate Development Manager
Location Details: Gurugram, India
At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.
This is a hybrid position. You’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office, so you should live within commuting distance. Hybrid teams may work in-office as much as a few times a week or as little as once a month or quarter, as decided by leadership. The hiring manager can share more about what hybrid work might look like for this team.
Join our team
The Corporate Development team plays a key role in GoDaddy’s growth. They find industry trends and build relationships with partners. They identify, negotiate, structure, and finalize strategic acquisitions and investments. We are seeing a Corporate Development Manager to join our team!
This Manager, reporting to GoDaddy's Head of Corporate Development, will support transaction teams. Their role is to drive growth and improve GoDaddy's market position with capital deployments and business combinations. This role plays an essential part in crafting our future growth through investments and acquisitions. It brings in new and innovative capabilities, improves existing ones, and grows our footprint and market opportunities.
You will work across all aspects of inorganic growth, helping identify and build a pipeline of investment and acquisition opportunities. You will independently own meaningful initiatives throughout the deal lifecycle. This involves building financial forecasts, assessing value, and conducting detailed reviews. You will also assist with structuring and negotiations through signing and closing.
What you'll get to do...
- Own significant workstreams across the end-to-end M&A process, including sourcing, evaluating, modeling, and supporting negotiation and closing
- Develop an outlook on potential transactions — including whether a deal is attractive — and communicate that recommendation clearly to deal leads and interested parties
- Build financial models and valuation analyses, and translate complex fiscal and strategic information into clear investment materials and executive-ready reports
- Lead due diligence workstreams and coordinate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Tax, Strategy, and business teams to keep deal processes moving
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify strategic opportunities, industry trends, and emerging areas for growth and innovation
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry players, investment banks, and advisors to support a healthy deal pipeline
- Support post-merger integration efforts to help ensure seamless transitions and value realization after close
- Contribute to playbooks that drive repeatable process and strong execution throughout the mergers and acquisitions division
Your experience should include...
- 5+ years of experience in investment banking, with investment banking experience required as a foundation for this role
- Substantive, hands-on M&A transaction experience — including buy-side and/or sell-side exposure, transaction modeling, valuation, and due diligence — with meaningful personal ownership of deal workstreams, not solely support-level involvement
- Strong analytical and financial rigor, demonstrating skill in interpreting complex data and financial documents and forming an independent point of view
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and components of a transaction with growing independence, while keeping deal processes on track
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate financial and strategic complexity into clear, understandable recommendations for collaborators and deal leads
You might also have...
- Prior experience transitioning from investment banking into an in-house business development unit
- Experience in the technology sector or other high-growth, sophisticated industries
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple partners
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience; MBA preferred
- Proficiency in AI tools, particularly as they relate to sourcing, modeling, or diligence in a corporate development context
We encourage you to apply even if your experience or skillset doesn’t align perfectly with every requirement. We value a wide range of backgrounds and transferable skills, and we are excited to support learning and growth.
We've got your back... We offer a range of total rewards that may include paid time off, retirement savings (e.g., 401k, pension schemes), bonus/incentive eligibility, equity grants, participation in our employee stock purchase plan, competitive health benefits, and other family-friendly benefits including parental leave. GoDaddy’s benefits vary based on individual role and location and can be reviewed in more detail during the interview process.
