The Washington, D.C. office of a top law firm has an immediate opening for a mid-level corporate finance associate.The firm represents newly public companies and small- and mid-cap companies as well as Fortune 500 companies. The Corporate Finance attorneys also advise issuers and underwriters in a broad range of domestic and international private and public offerings. they serve as primary outside counsel to more than 100 public companies, many of them among the Fortune 500. Their practices and lawyers are ranked in the industry’s leading directories including Chambers Global, Chambers USA and Legal 500.

Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience and significant experience in some of the following areas related to corporate finance: Representing issuers and investors in financing transactions; representing financial institutions, underwriters and agents in public and private offerings of debt or equity securities; and advising corporate clients on general securities laws, including compliance with, and reporting under, the 1933 Act and 1934 Act. Excellent academic credentials and legal writing skills are required.

To be considered, a candidate must hold a JD from a top tier, ABA-approved law school and must be an active member in good standing of the bar of the state in which the candidate is admitted to practice.
