Job Position: Corporate Safety ManagerJob Location: Stone Mountain, GA (100% on-site – non-hybrid/non-remote)Reports To: Director of EngineeringJob Summary: The Corporate Safety Manager is responsible for leading Safety and Environmental compliance initiatives across the organization. This position will provide leadership, planning, communication and coaching skills to ensure safe production of high quality products to meet customer needs in the most cost effective and safe manner. Ensures compliance with Company Mission Statement Safety & Quality Policy, and all customer guidelines and agreements to ensure products and services meet quality requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides guidance and direction in Safety and Environmental compliance to the plant operations, plant leadership, and executive leadership to ensure a common and effective approach.
• Establish Safety performance goals and strategies and effectively communicate Safety metrics across the organization. Assess trends, take appropriate actions.
• Coach, train, guide, and mentor the organization to achieve a zero-incident culture
• Coordinates OSHA and Environmental Reporting across the organization.
• Conduct and assist on incident investigations to ensure the investigation is properly documented, investigated to identify Contributing/Root Causes, and Corrective Actions are implemented and sustained
• Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.
• Partner with plant leadership identify opportunities to improve workplace safety and to implement safety initiatives
• Program administrator for respiratory protection, hazard communication, hearing conservation, ergonomics, and heat stress prevention.
• Assist in the development and presentation of relevant training including the new-hire safety orientation program.
• Assists with the specification and purchase of safety equipment and systems.
• Maintain membership in applicable safety or environmental associations to stay informed of new developments and trends.
• Complete and maintain all documentation of safety incidents. Monitor medical treatment.
• Prepare legal notices, postings, and reports as required by government and regulatory bodies.
• Enforce compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local safety related regulations
• Additional duties as assigned by management.

• Working knowledge of data collection methodologies, interpretation/analysis and decision support databases.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment with multiple location oversight a MUST
• College degree in Occupational Safety and Health, or related field
• Safety certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Manager (CSM)
• Minimum of 5 years' safety leadership experience in production manufacturing industry.
• Ability to work independently, managing tasks and priorities efficiently without constant supervision.
• Experience with establishing safety metrics and creating safety reports.
• In-depth understanding of OSHA, EPA and local environmental standards.
• Competent with MS Office suite and Statistical software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, record-keeping and follow-up skills.
• Ability to develop and foster relationships and trust at all levels of the organization
• Ability to travel 50% of the time to support facilities for audits, training, site inspections, etc.

• Team Member will frequently be required to actively listen and exchange information.
• Team Member will be required to observe and assess information in a fast paced environment.
• Requires frequent use of a production, manufacturing equipment and/or machinery.
• Will be required to frequently move/transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds which may require frequent bending, twisting and reaching motions.
• Team Member may be required to remain stationary for extended periods of time.
• Team Member may be required to stand for long periods up to 8, 10 or 12 hours shifts.
• Team Member may be required to talk, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle and feel objects, tools, and controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch.

WORK ENVIRONMENT (Manufacturing Plant): The characteristics listed below are representative of the work environment typically encountered by an individual while performing the essential duties of a position in our manufacturing plants. Note that office positions located within our Manufacturing Plants often require some plant floor presence throughout the day so these work environment details may not always apply, they should still be noted.

• Work space is one that contains moving mechanical parts.
• Requires work in an indoor manufacturing environment that may be exposed to extreme heat that is not air conditioned.
• Work environment contains loud noises and odors that may last for long periods of time or on a continual basis as well as occasional airborne particles.
• Must wear PPE while working, which includes hairnet, hearing protection and safety glasses with side guards at all times.
• Ability to work an 8+, 10+ or 12+ hour shifts as designated.
• Able to work weekdays, weekends and overtime as designated.
