Cost Accountant (Grapevine, TX)

NextStep Recruiting has partnered with a growing manufacturing organization to identify a Cost Accountant in Grapevine, TX. This full-time position supports manufacturing cost analysis, inventory accounting, job costing, and financial reporting. This position is ideal for an experienced manufacturing accountant who enjoys analyzing production costs, identifying discrepancies, and partnering with operations to improve financial accuracy and profitability.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including substantial manufacturing cost accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of job costing, inventory valuation, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing cost variances
• Experience with month-end close, general ledger reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with manufacturing ERP systems

Preferred:

• CPA designation
• Experience with Epicor or similar manufacturing ERP systems
• Background in fabrication, assembly, or job-cost-driven manufacturing environments
• Experience analyzing labor, material, overhead, and production efficiency variances
• Strong cross-functional experience partnering with Operations, Production, and Purchasing teams
