About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to oversee product costing, inventory valuation, cost control, and branch-level profitability. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in cost and management accounting, preferably within retail, FMCG, or luxury goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate costing for all SKUs and ensure proper inventory valuation across outlets.
• Analyze product margins, promotional profitability, and pricing impacts, highlighting risks to management.
• Participate in monthly stock counts, investigate variances, and reconcile physical and system inventory.
• Prepare cost of sales reports and support annual budgeting and forecasting.
• Develop cost control systems and SOPs to reduce shrinkage, wastage, and pilferage.
• Work with Operations, Procurement, and Merchandising teams to track landed costs, import duties, and supplier pricing.
• Monitor branch-level profitability, stock ageing, and slow-moving inventory.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in cost or management accounting, preferably in retail, FMCG, or luxury goods.
• ICAN/ACCA qualification is a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Experience with multi-branch operations and ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; Power BI is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of inventory controls, shrinkage, and stock reconciliation.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
