JOB TITLE: Cost Accounting, Finance Manager
LOCATION: Santiago, Dominican Republic
SCHEDULE: Mon - fri 8:00 am -5:30 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Lead cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial controls including standard costing, inventory valuation, cost roll management, account reconciliations, physical inventory oversight, and compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements.
  • Manage financial reporting and performance analysis by leading month-end close activities, analyzing COGP, COGS, inventory, manufacturing variances, and profitability trends, and providing actionable insights to leadership.
  • Provide financial leadership and decision support through forecasting, budgeting, business analysis, KPI reporting, and recommendations that improve operational and financial performance.
  • Drive process improvements, strengthen financial systems and controls, and develop team capabilities by enhancing reporting processes, ensuring data integrity, supporting audit compliance, and coaching finance staff.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS: Note that (i) computer literacy and working-level skill with the basic MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer), (ii) good verbal and written communication skills, (iii) good interpersonal skills, and (iv) the ability to work well both individually and in a team, environment are default requirements for all Jostens exempt and salaried nonexempt employees.
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance
  • Minimum of 7+ years related professional experience
  • Database/ERP Skills such as Oracle/EDW
  • Advanced level skills with Excel and Access
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability and experience with presenting to management groups and senior-level executives
  • Excellent analytical skills in digging into data to uncover actionable insights
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Results-oriented strategic thinker with the ability to challenge the status quo and implement change
  • Ability to understand complex business relationships and impacts
Preferred:
  • Advanced degree or CPA license/certificate
  • Supervisory experience
