We are looking right now for a Cost Efficiency Director for SkyUp to drive sustainable growth by optimizing financial strategies, streamlining reporting and budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with international standards. Cost Efficiency Director will secure funding, enhance resource efficiency, and support innovation to advance the global expansion.
This is a leadership role, serving as a member of the management board and reporting directly to the CEO.


As the Cost Efficiency Director, you will be responsible for:
  1. Financial strategy & growth: Develop and execute financial strategies to optimize resources, drive growth, and support business autonomy.
  2. Budgeting & reporting: Establish and manage budgeting processes, consolidate group budgets, and oversee IFRS-aligned management reporting.
  3. Funding & treasury: Secure external financing for expansion, manage cash flow, and optimize treasury operations.
  4. Cost management: implemention of cost-reduction and operational efficiency improvement programs.
  5. Tax optimization: Coordinate tax planning and minimize liabilities across all markets.
  6. Accounting & compliance: Oversee accounting processes and audits, ensuring compliance with internal and international standards.
  7. Innovation & leadership: Lead the Financial and Fuel Procurement Departments, implement innovative solutions, and manage cross-functional projects to align with strategic goals.
  8. Assessment of profitability: pricing, fleet, and route network.
What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including a proven track record in a senior finance role.
  • Expertise in building and managing budgeting, reporting, and financial control processes, including IFRS standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in securing external financing and managing complex funding projects.
  • Strong background in tax planning, international financial management, and compliance.
  • Proven experience in implementing cost-reduction and operational efficiency improvement programs.
  • Experience in cross-functional leadership and contributing to strategic decision-making as part of a management board or executive team.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align financial goals with business objectives.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive innovation.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with stakeholders, including owners, investors, and financial institutions.
  • Familiarity with the specifics of multinational operations and diverse markets.
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage).
  • Readiness to learn a new field (we are looking for candidates from different industries).
