Costing Clerk
Delphius is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join the Cost Accountant as a Costing Clerk.
The primary responsibility of this role is to accurately and efficiently, process and track costs involved in client orders.
The costing clerk will collaborate closely with various departments and stakeholders to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail and a solid understanding of financial principles and processes.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven work experience/internship as a costing clerk.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts, cost accounting principles & budgeting processes.
- Proficient in using financial software applications & MS Office (particularly Excel).
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret numerical data.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of relevant regulation & compliance standards.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.

Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures
Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports
Making estimates of new and proposed product costs
Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services
Maintaining Cost Accounting System
Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger
Conducts physical inventories and monitors cycle count program
Reconciles finished goods inventories
Responsibilites:
- Gather and compile data from various sources to calculate costs/expenses accurately.
- Enter and maintain cost data in financial systems database.
- Monitor and track costs for different projects, departments and products.
- Collaborate with department heads & project managers to collect and verify cost information.
- Assist in the development & implementation of cost allocation methodologies and procedures.
- Prepare regular reports summarizing cost data, trends and analysis.
- Conduct periodic checks to ensure data accuracy & compliance with company policies.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate cost information.
- Support other administrative & financial tasks assigned by the cost accountant.
Education:
National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Costing & Finance
