Costing Engineer
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Cost Estimation & Analysis
- Conduct "should-cost" analysis to benchmark fair pricing
- Analyze and compare supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing
- Develop detailed cost models for products based on materials, labor, overhead, and manufacturing processes
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through design improvements, material substitutions, and process optimizations
• Sourcing & Supplier Negotiation
- Source and evaluate suppliers for materials, components, and services
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and payment terms to achieve cost efficiency
- Request and analyze quotes from suppliers, ensuring compliance with technical and commercial requirements
• Support & Documentation
- Monitor actual costs vs estimated costs and investigate variances
- Support Sales and Business Unit teams in preparing competitive quotations
- Maintain accurate records of cost estimates, supplier quotes, and price trends
SKILLSET(S) REQUIREMENT
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills
· Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
· Experience in supplier sourcing, RFQ processes, and negotiation
· Proficiency in cost estimation tools, Excel, and ERP systems (e.g., BC, SAP) 3+ years of experience in costing, procurement, or manufacturing engineering
· Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials (metals, granites, composites, etc.)

WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferably with minimum of 3 Years of working experience in Contract Manufacturing (CM)
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and/or any other related technical field of study.
