Job summary

We are currently seeking a diligent and skilled costing professional to join our finance team. This role is crucial in providing accurate costing data and insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary finance business partner for the R&D function, providing financial guidance and commercial support to R&D leadership and project teams.
  • Develop, maintain, and standardize costing models for formulation development, analytical development, stability studies, clinical trials, and bioequivalence studies.
  • Support project evaluation and decision-making through cost-to-deliver analysis, profitability assessments, and financial scenario modeling for new product development initiatives.
  • Own the financial creation, validation, and costing of bills of material (BOMs) for pilot batches, scale-up batches, and production-intended formulations, ensuring alignment with Oracle ERP requirements.
  • Coordinate with costing, procurement, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to validate material, conversion, and overhead costs and ensure consistency of costing methodologies across sites.
  • Review and validate the financial aspects of CRO quotations, contracts, amendments, and invoices to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with approved commercial terms.
  • Ensure proper financial recording of R&D inventory, material movements, and intercompany transactions across legal entities, maintaining accuracy and traceability within Oracle ERP.
  • Serve as the finance focal point for all R&D-related Oracle transactions, ensuring costing integrity, master data accuracy, and effective financial controls within the system.
  • Partner with R&D, procurement, supply chain, and project management teams to evaluate the financial impact of project decisions and support efficient execution of development activities.
  • Identify financial and operational risks impacting R&D projects and recommend process improvements to enhance cost visibility, resource utilization, and overall project effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration. Professional certification (CMA, FMVA) is an advantage.
  • 5-9 years of experience in finance, costing, or business partnering roles. Experience in pharmaceutical or R&D-intensive environments is preferred.
  • Strong exposure to project-based costing and multi-legal-entity organizations.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP is mandatory.
