The project is dedicated to preventing
online crime, maintaining a zero tolerance policy towards Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Material (CSEAM), which is
classified as a crime under the POCSO Act. It addresses crimes
against children and aims to provide support to survivors through psychosocial assistance, legal aid, rehabilitation, and the pursuit of
justice. Additionally, the program will emphasize digital safety,
de-addiction, and awareness initiatives.
Position: Counselors (Victim Support) for the "Koottu Counseling
Centers" located in the Malappuram districts.
Location: Malappuram districts, Kerala,
Project Period: two years (Ongoing)
Position Duration: 1year contract

Job Overview
∙ We
are looking for qualified and highly motivated individuals to join our team,
where they can engage, learn, develop,
and contribute to the best of their abilities. ∙ We invite interested candidates to
work in the area of preventing online crime, with a zero tolerance policy towards child
pornography (CSEAM) and crimes against children. ∙ Ensure the comprehensive
implementation of the project plan within the police district. ∙ Have
knowledge in Internet de-addiction counseling.
∙ Possess experience of counseling
techniques and therapeutically skill for individuals who have been survivors of child sexual abuse
(CSA) and their families, including crisis intervention and case management skills.
∙ Ensure rehabilitation, including
timely compensation, connections to social security schemes, education, and skill enhancement for
child survivors
∙ Conduct
advocacy efforts while also offering suitable service referrals. ∙ Ensure
legal support and representation for child victims of CSA to facilitate their
access to justice.
∙ Support
the police department and other stakeholders in addressing cases, ensuring timely completion of procedures, and
following child-friendly processes throughout. ∙ Provide training and raise
awareness among various stakeholders regarding child friendly processes.
∙ Conduct
research and case studies on various aspects of child sexual abuse (CSA). ∙ Complete
and maintain records that document the services provided.
∙ Oversee the collection of data and
the preparation of project/progress reports according to the established schedule.
∙ Conduct weekly, fortnightly, or
monthly meetings with the team, seeking and applying their input for effective program
implementation.
∙ Report and coordinate with the ADNO and project
coordinator.
∙ Will encompass significant travel associated
with case management to various locations, including residences, police stations, courts,
schools, and office visits, necessitating the use of public transportation and appropriate two-wheeled vehicles.
∙ Support the state team in planning
programs by AVA, such as programs and the follow up on rehabilitation of rescued children.
Responsibilities and Duties
∙ To provide counseling to individuals and
families
∙ To facilitate the rehabilitation plan (ICP) including Victim
compensation. ∙ Facilitate Legal Aid and support VLOs in
police station and during court visits ∙ Conduct Home visits and community out reach
∙ Develop Convergence, and Conduct training
∙ Conduct awareness programs on digital safety, CSA and adolescents
health. ∙ Coordinate with the ADNO and project
coordinator in assigned programs. ∙ Participated in AVA activities and duties assigned time to time
Education:
∙ A post graduate in social work, law,
Psychology / Social science or related fields from a recognized university and preferred
✔ Social science- Post-graduate
degree with specialization in Counselling, child protection, Rehabilitation and other welfare or
behavioral-related
✔ Candidates with LLB as additional
qualification shall be given preference
Experience
✔ Minimum 1 to 2 years of Work
Experience (Counseling preferably with children or on child Protection area).
✔ Candidate worked in child
protection will be given added advantage. Specific skills.
✔ Proficiency in language: Regional
Language mandate (Malayalam) and English with both written and spoken skills.
✔ Willingness to perform extensive field
work
✔ Essential - Two wheeler with Driving
license
