At Atterbury Job Corps, our Counselors are trusted mentors who walk with students through their entire enrollment — providing the personal and career counseling that keeps them on track, engaged, and moving toward real success.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide comprehensive, individualized case management to support student progress, retention, and completion of the Job Corps program
- Establish supportive, mentoring relationships with students throughout their enrollment, offering personal, educational, and career counseling
- Identify and help remediate student barriers to success
- Develop and update individualized Personal Career Development Plans for each student
- Assess student progress across Academic, Career Technical, and Independent Living areas on an ongoing basis
- Coordinate on- and off-Center services to support student retention and success, including transportation as needed
- Evaluate and document student performance using the case management system
- Step in as Acting CPP/Counseling Manager when needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold the integrity of all student data
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited school, including at least 15 semester hours in Social Services-related instruction (required)
- Minimum of one year of experience in counseling or a related field (required)
- Previous Job Corps or related program experience (preferred)
- Valid in-state driver's license and ability to meet Company insurability requirements (required)
