ROLE OVERVIEW
The Therapist provides behavioral health services to children, youth, and families using a trauma-competent and strengths-based approach. Services include assessment, treatment planning, therapy, and crisis intervention. The therapist collaborates closely with case managers, families, and external partners to support positive outcomes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
Clinical Services
· Complete diagnostic mental health assessments and assign diagnoses in accordance with agency and state standards.
· Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and client/family goals.
· Provide therapy services (individual, family, group) using evidence-based practices.
· Modify therapeutic interventions based on client preferences and outcome data.
· Deliver crisis intervention and safety planning as needed.
Documentation and Compliance
· Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
· Ensure documentation reflects medical necessity and meets Medicaid, COA, and OhioMHAS standards.
· Submit assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes within required timeframes.
Collaboration and Coordination
· Maintain regular communication with families, schools, case managers, and other service providers.
· Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and collaborative planning sessions.
· Coordinate care to ensure wraparound support for clients.
Professional Responsibilities
· Attend individual and group supervision.
· Participate in required trainings, meetings, and staff development.
· Maintain licensure and fulfill continuing education requirements.
· Adhere to all agency policies and confidentiality standards.
