Position summary:
Responds to Customer requests for all parts sales. Responsibilities: While responsibilities may vary, the following are general duties that may or may not be required of a particular employee in this position.
• Order Parts/Intake Parts Orders: Receive and ensure all orders are complete.
• Researching parts on computer software.
• Retrieving parts for customers.
• Preparing parts orders for delivery.
• Core Returns Management: Document return cores and track core returns to ensure proper credit applied.
Qualifications:
• Previous Parts Sales Experience a Plus.
• Experience in a Parts Department with good understanding of inventory management – 2 years.
• Customer Service skills: Able to deal effectively with our internal customers, as well as external customers.
• Dependable worker able to carry out a series of work instructions without constant supervision.
• Must be physically able to lift and pull up to 20-30+ pounds regularly in order to stack and load parts onto pallets.
• Computer literacy – Excel - able to navigate different programs for ordering, tracking and monitoring status or orders and returns. Skills:
• Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
• Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
• Oral Comprehension – The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Oral Expression – The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
• Speech Clarity – The ability to speak clearly so others can understand you.
• Speech Recognition – The ability to identify and understand the speech of another person.
• Written Comprehension – The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
• Vision – The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
• Coordination - Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
• Time Management - Managing one's own time or the time of others. Attributes:
• Static Strength - The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift (20-30+ lbs.), push, pull, or carry objects.
• Trunk Strength - The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
• Sitting for long periods of time required for computer work, order, researching parts, etc.
• Going from sitting to standing repeatedly throughout the day.
Experience and/or Education: High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate); None This position is an indoor administrative position with a computer work station accounting for approximately 80-90% of the work day. Exposure to outdoor conditions will be encountered for 10-20% of this incumbents workday as they are intaking and processing the parts for delivery.
