COUNTER TRANSNATIONAL ORGANIZED CRIME OPS SUPPORT SPEC

About the Position: Join us at the United States Southern Command. We provide direct support to a four-star unified Combatant Commander, but are compact enough that our staff also works with senior leadership representatives of our inter-service, inter-agency and (public and private) international partner organizations. Our contribution to furthering our country's relationships with South and Central American nations and peoples are substantial.

Coordinate operational resource requirements with command components, joint task forces, and country teams to support efforts that stop and disrupt illegal trafficking.

Validate deployment and execution orders to ensure forces supporting counterdrug and counter transnational organized crime operations comply with Department of Defense directives.

Oversee ongoing counterdrug and counter transnational organized crime operations to support timely reporting and response to operational shortfalls.

Manage division resources to support budgets, travel, training, conferences, property accountability, and information technology requirements.

Validate system requirements to prioritize radar, surveillance, and information-sharing capabilities based on counterdrug and counter transnational organized crime operational needs.
