Country Manager - China (f/m/x)
This is a company built for growth.
When you join exmox, you're stepping onto a global, highly competitive playing field, solving real problems in environments that push you beyond your comfort zone. We move fast, cut the noise, and focus on what actually matters, because in our industry, speed wins. We build high-performing consumer products in one of the most competitive industries there is: mobile gaming, leading one of its largest innovations, a rewarded user engagement and acquisition platform that helps publishers acquire and retain players through rewarding experiences.
We're looking for a Country Manager China (f/m/x) to build and own our presence in the region from the ground up. This is not a maintenance role it's a founder-style mandate. You will be exmox's face in China: the person who sets up our legal and operational footprint, opens doors with top-tier mobile game publishers, closes the deals that put us on the map, and builds the local team and playbook that lets us scale long after the first wins.
You'll operate with real autonomy and a direct line to leadership, translating our global platform into a go-to-market motion that works for the Chinese market commercially, culturally, and operationally.

In this role you will
- Own the China P&L and growth strategy: Set targets and be personally accountable for revenue and market share.
- Lead from the front: Source, pitch, and close strategic partnerships with top mobile game publishers your deals are the "win stories" that unlock the rest of the market.
- Stand up the business from zero: Legal entity setup (e.g. WFOE, rep office, or EOR as an interim step), office and local banking/payroll/HR infrastructure, and any local tools our global stack can't cover.
- Build and lead the local team: Define the hiring plan, recruit in a competitive market, and manage a high-performing commercial team with a culture of ownership from day one.
- Be the bridge to Global: Feed publisher insights and market intelligence back to Product, Marketing, and Leadership.
- Navigate the landscape: Handle the regulatory, cultural, and business-etiquette nuances of China's gaming and ad ecosystem, and represent exmox externally with publishers, partners, and press.
- Report transparently: Give leadership a clear view of pipeline, deal status, and setup progress.
- 8+ years in sales, BD, or partnerships ideally mobile gaming, ad tech, or a related platform business with a track record of hitting revenue targets.
- Builder mentality: you've stood up a market, team, or business line from nothing, or you're itching to.
- Operational range: as comfortable with entity setup, compliance, and HR infrastructure as with closing a deal.
- Leadership experience: hired, managed, and developed people; you build accountability rather than just enforce it.
- Bilingual fluency in Mandarin and English.
- Player-coach DNA and comfort with ambiguity, cross-border work, and a bias for speed.
Nice to Have
- Existing relationships with top tier Chinese mobile game publishers or UA/monetization decision makers.
- Experience with offerwall, rewarded engagement, or performance-based UA models.
- Prior experience opening a new market or region for a Western tech company.
- Speed is the feature. Speed beats rocket science. We move fast, test fast, and multiply our pace with AI, because action creates information and small wins compound. A fast failure is a lesson we learn from, a slow one is a problem we can't afford.
- Focus on the essential. Done is better than perfect. We stay focused on what actually moves us forward and protect people's time from anything that doesn't. We're direct in how we communicate too, no rambling, no unnecessary detail.
- See it. Own it. Solve it. The first to see it is best placed to fix it. We're not a place for comfort, we're a place for doers. "Not my job" isn't in our vocabulary, if you spot something, you help make sure it gets solved.
- Respect others. Trust multiplies. Respect is non-negotiable. We disagree with ideas, never with people. Trust here is built the same way it is anywhere, through consistency, a thank you, a moment of listening, and owning your mistakes.
- Perks that help you focus on what matters. Transport subsidy, learning budget, wellness and gym, workation, bi-weekly team lunches, and more. The perks are great, but the real reason people join and stay is the challenge, the ownership, and the drive to win together.
