This position is an exciting opportunity to work with the Diabetes business. Medtronic announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and to reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic. The Diabetes division, now known as MiniMed, completed its IPO in March 2026. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investment to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care. While you will start your employment with Medtronic, upon completion of required local legal and employment processes, we expect your employment to transfer to MiniMed, subject to business needs and any applicable information and consultation requirements in your jurisdiction.

The Diabetes Operating Unit focuses on improving the lives of those within the global diabetes community. As a business, we strive to empower people with diabetes to live life on their terms by delivering innovation that truly matters and providing support in the ways they need it. Our portfolio of innovative solutions is designed to provide customers with greater freedom and better health, helping them achieve better glucose​ control, while spending less time managing their disease.

  • Plans, directs, and monitors the activities of a sales team within a specified region to achieve established sales targets.
  • Develops and implements business strategies for existing and potential accounts.
  • Manages the day-to-day activities of a sales team to implement the organization's overall sales strategy for the assigned region.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with all key account personnel and relevant functions to support selling, market development, service efforts and clinical programs.
  • Identifies opportunities and develops new programs to meet the organization's sales plans to increase market share.
  • Assesses need for the addition of new selling programs and processes, conducts competitive analysis, and implements strategies.
  • Coach sales representatives on the technical aspects of the organization's products and services; on marketing campaigns and sales promotions; and on sales techniques, procedures, and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably within the medical device/pharmaceutical industry
  • Minimum 3 years of people management experience. Additional channel management experience is highly preferred
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify problems and opportunities, providing value-added solutions.
  • Self-driven and capable of independently managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, with a history of addressing cross-functional challenges and achieving results.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills, with experience in a matrix organization and cross-functional collaboration.
