Country Technical Manager
1. Context and Objectives
In the context of Safran AI’s international expansion, we are looking to base a Country Technical Manager in Singapore, who will act as a key liaison between research teams, technical teams, and the deployment of our solutions to end users. As a key driver of Safran AI’s international growth, the Country Technical Manager will lead the opening of our subsidiary in the country, in coordination with the International Expansion team.
He or She will be responsible for coordinating research activities in Singapore for technology monitoring, for the successful execution of grants, and will serve as Safran AI’s technical representative with local institutions and universities.
2. Key Missions and Responsibilities
2.1 — Coordination and management of Research Projects
In line with the ambition to make Singapore a hub for Research and Innovation:
· Manage research project schedules and track milestones, in coordination with research teams and institutional partners
· Ensure the agreed milestones with partners are met, and oversee the disbursement of any applicable grants
· Ensure operational coordination between local research teams and AI teams in France
· Facilitate project review meetings and produce associated meeting minutes and dashboards
· Manage project-related risks and propose corrective action plans
· Maintain strong relationships with Singaporean universities and institutions supporting Safran AI’s ambitions in Singapore
2.2 — Deployment Support and Change Management
As the local support of commercial ambitions and in coordination with the solution deployment team:
• Act as the local relay for the project TEM (Technical Expert Manager) to coordinate project activities as close to the client as possible, particularly for deploying our solutions to end users and ensuring their ongoing operational maintenance. For smaller-scale projects and depending on workload, taking on the role of project TEM is possible
• Support user teams in adopting deployed AI tools and solutions
• Design and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and demonstrations
• Develop educational materials (user guides, FAQs, tutorials)
• Collect user feedback and escalate it to development teams
• Contribute to defining performance indicators (KPIs) and monitoring them
2.3 — International Expansion & Governance
• Play an active role in Safran AI’s local presence and growth:
• Contribute to establishing governance rules with France, in alignment with the International Expansion leadership
• Coordinate grant projects between local institutions, administrative partners, and the International Expansion team
• Propose, implement, and maintain dashboards for tracking grant execution
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations
• Contribute to the certification of locally developed solutions by relevant local authorities, particularly export control for defense products and the civil aviation authority for NDT products
• Contribute to identifying local talent in preparation for future recruitment
3. Candidate Profile
3.1 — Education
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Cognitive Sciences, Digital Project Management, or equivalent
• Additional training in Artificial Intelligence, UX, or Change Management is a plus
3.2 — Technical Skills
• Good general knowledge of AI and software engineering
• Proficiency with technical and office-based project management tools
• Ability to analyze complex technical specifications
• Knowledge of GDPR, compliance, and export control issues related to AI systems
3.3 — Soft Skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player with the ability to work remotely with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-specialist audiences
• Rigor, autonomy, and strong organizational skills

5. Working Conditions
• Position based in Singapore
• Travel required (conferences, client workshops, remote sites)
