Courseware Development Lead

Summary

Leads the creation and maintenance of training materials and courses, ensuring compliance with standards like SSG/WSQ and ISO 29993 while coordinating with regulators and trainers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake the development and editing of courseware & assessment materials, including learner guides, slides, assessments, and instructor resources.
  • Co-design and structuring of new courses, following market demand and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure audit-readiness of course files, version controls, and trainer records.
  • Liaise with Programme Office for submission of course approval/renewal documents.
  • Ensure all materials are aligned with SSG/SSG-approved templates, ISO 29993 standards, and AKC’s internal quality benchmarks.
  • Update and improve courseware periodically based on trainer/learner feedback and regulatory changes.
  • Compile course submission documents (e.g., outlines, lesson plans, assessment rubrics) for approval by SSG or other relevant authorities.
  • Conduct benchmarking of competitor courses to ensure AKC remains industry-relevant.
  • Prepare and maintain all compliance documentation for WSQ and Non-WSQ courses.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • Education: DACE/DDDLP, Diploma or Degree in Education, Business, or related fields (fresh grads may apply).
  • Experience: At least 5 years in training/education sector, L&D, or curriculum development.
  • Skills:
  1. Strong writing, formatting, and document-structuring skills.
  2. Familiarity with training standards (SSG/WSQ, ISO, or similar) an advantage.
  3. Detail-oriented with good organisational ability.
  4. Comfortable working hands-on with trainers and course materials.
